SATURDAY BRUNCH IN CANBERRA | HIGHROAD, DICKSON
Hi everyone, hope you're having a lovely and relaxing Saturday! For once I had a Saturday off work so Laura and I decided to indulge in our typical millennial habit of trying out a new brunch spot in Canberra. We hopped on the new Light Rail up to Dickson to try Highroad, by the makers of ONA coffee and the famous The Cupping Room in the centre of Canberra.
I was impressed to see how fancy and stylish the interior was when we stepped inside, definitely one of the fancier brunch spots I've been to! For around midday on a busy Saturday we managed to get a table almost straight away and the service was pretty speedy.
Now its gotten colder I've converted back to regular hot lattes compared to my usual iced ones, and I've missed how you can tell the difference between the different ONA blends which is much harder with an iced coffee. I had a blend that had hints of caramel - very nice, and helps me deal with the lack of Starbucks within a 4 hour drive of Canberra!
Laura and I both opted for lunch options as we were really hungry, and it definitely didn't disappoint! I had the Brisket Burger while Laura had the Chicken Burger. Both very delicious, and the chips were surprisingly really nice.
For $27 each (around £14), I would definitely come back here again for brunch, especially now its so easy to get to Dickson with the new tram line!
