BIRTHDAY BRUNCH | HALF CUP, KINGS CROSS
Last weekend I celebrated my 22nd birthday by doing what I do best, going up to London and brunching, eating and drinking my way around the city. First stop of the celebrations had to be brunch, and helpfully it was right around the corner from getting off the High Speed at St Pancras!
When we walked down the street we saw a bit of a crowd stood outside and expected a lengthy wait, but a 30 minute wait was probably only about 15 minutes as we were happy to sit outside when seats became available. The service was really fast and friendly, and deserving of the service charge added to the bill.
I'd spotted the pink lattes on Instagram, so suckers for a pretty coffee we both ordered Pink Dream lattes. Flavoured with beetroot, vanilla and coconut milk, these were quite the sweet dream - topped with roses which while edible (don't worry Charlotte confirmed this with the waiter), aren't as tasty as they are pretty. At £4 each I think this is a very reasonable price for a speciality coffee like this.
Next up comes the food! After a lot of umming and ahhing, Charlotte opted for her usual full English and I tried something rogue and went for the Savoury Pancakes. At £10.50 for the Half Cup Full English and £9.50 for my Savoury Pancakes I also think these are vary reasonable prices considering we're in London. It was as delicious as it was Instagrammable and we'll definitely be back again - especially for some Oreo French Toast that Half Cup have posted on their Instagram!
Next up is a quick pitch about the amazing app I'm obsessed with, and essential for any of you looking for the perfect spot for any occasion in London!

I singled out this brunch spot using the One Zone App recommended to me by my friend Lauren. The handy app lets you search for places to go in the City either by area or even by cuisine or vibe you're going for! 'Best for Brunch' and 'Rooftops & Views' was heavily used over the weekend as you can expect! Its saved me so much time narrowing down places I want to go and I will be using it so much in the future!
