BELFAST BRUNCH | FIVE PERCENT, GILNAHIRK

Today's blogpost is both a throwback of my past life living in Belfast, and also of this delicious coffee/brunch spot!

I'd eyed this coffee spot on Instagram for a while and one day in September me and a friend finally took the plunge and visited Five Percent. Thankfully it wasn't too busy and we managed to get a seat straight away.

Service was really quick and friendly, and we sipped on our lattes while we waited on our brunch. Elizabeth had 'The Cure' which was avo, hash, bacon, eggs and hot sauce on sourdough. Avo toast would normally be my go-to but I was a bit scared of the hot sauce. Elizabeth reassured me that it was really good though! Unfortunately I don't remember the name of my dish (as I managed to delay this post for a good 4 months) but it consisted of whipped ricotta, peaches, honey and almonds on sourdough. It was really delicious and I definitely recommend (if its still on the menu by now).

If you're ever around the Belfast area I definitely recommend the trip east to visit this cafe, whether its for a quiet coffee or brunch with friends - you might even spot an Ulster Rugby player or two (as we did on our visit).
